Photos of the Bride and Groom getting ready. The bride wore her boots and the groom had his Converse. Great details of the jewelry are very important.
As part of our blog, we interview the bride and groom about their wedding experience. This is what they said:
Tell us about Jennine: where you grew up, went to school, where you work.
I grew up in East Hanover, NJ. I graduated Hanover Park High School in 2004. I recently started a new job as Assistant Store Manager of Pet Supplies Plus. I previously worked at a home, garden, and pet supply store where I was a department manager and buy. I have a passion for dogs and other animals. Advocate for the pit bull breed and dog mom to rescue pit bull mixes.
How did you guys first meet? Who, what, when, where, why? Give us the dirty details.
We met on the dating app Plenty of Fish in April 2014. I (Jennine) saw his profile and told a friend I was in love! He’s hot, has tattoos, same music interest, and loves pit bulls! It couldn’t get any better! He has two pit bulls that were his world and just as important to him as mine are to me. I figured he was out of my league and just added him to my “favorites.” He messaged me shortly after and the same day we decided to meet for a drink and hung out and talked until 4 in the morning. We went on a second date the next day and before the weekend was over we no longer were on the dating app. We haven’t left each other’s side since.
When did you both know he was the one? Was there something he did?
We had an undeniable connection from the start that just pulled us together. Hard to explain but I got a feeling I never had before. I can feel the love with every little touch, kiss or hug…just a true natural connection. I truly feel that everything in my life happened for a reason and brought us together because that’s what is meant to be.
Capturing great shots of the Bride and Groom with their bridal party is a very important part of the day. But even more important of course is getting those incredible shots of just the two. These were taken at Waterloo Village in Stanhope, NJ.
Tell us about the proposal? Did you see it coming? (What long was it in the planning? How did you feel? Nervous, excited, freaking out?)
I was completely shocked and did not expect it at all! One night when we were staying at my parents’ house, I had just woken up from a nap. When I got out of the shower, Mike was in the living room “helping” my mom with the TV. He and my mom kept yelling at me to come in there. I was getting annoyed and noticed my dog in the living room at their feet squirming against the couch and asked, “What are you doing to my dog?” I saw that there was something on him. I went in the living room to see my boy, Cash, with a t-shirt on that says something. He was leaning against the couch so half of the words were hard to read. After taking a minute to read, I was in shock and trying to process what was happening. I see my mom recording me when I realize the shirt says, “Will you marry Daddy?” and a ring tied to his collar. I swore at them and asked if this was real. I couldn’t believe this amazing moment was happening and being filmed. But it was all so perfect. It took him a couple of months to have the ring I loved made and tried to plan a night away for us to propose but with our work schedules it was difficult. It all happened for a reason because it was perfect. I wouldn’t want this special moment not to have my baby, Cash, involved.
Tell us the one thing that you love most about each other.
Compassion and love for each other and the same compassion and love for dogs.
Besides getting married – what is the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?
I am really looking forward to and excited for our first dance. We have not had many chances to enjoy those moment besides one wedding we attended. I feel that it really is a moment for us to have without the hustle of the wedding interrupting and really soak it all in.
