1)Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty Details.

We met in kindergarten in Ms. Honig's kindergarten class when we were 5 years old. Bryant School! Yay Teaneck Public Schools! Neither of us remember too much about that year, but there is physical evidence that Jillian gave Ryan her phone number at this tender age. Maybe she knew. Ryan remembers that Jillian had a very large head, which he noted while Jillian was giving a class presentation about a solar eclipse.

They began dating at the very end of their senior year of high school and have been dating for 7 years.

2)When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?,etc.

Ryan: Almost immediately

Jillian: The first time I saw him playing with his little cousins. I thought wow, he will be a really amazing dad.

3)Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

Ryan hid his great-grandmother's engagement ring in his trumpet case, knowing Jillian would never look there.

One Thursday night, he took her out to an amazing dinner at Pardes in Brooklyn. After wining and dining her, he brought her back to Manhattan, to the hotel balcony of the Hotel Yotel. After waiting for an arguing couple to clear the balcony, he led her outside and asked her for her hand in marriage. She burst into tears, which he rightfully took to mean yes

4)Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

Ryan: "Is your booty inappropriate?"

Jillian: How safe I feel in his arms

5)If you feel comfortable, share with us something silly or quirky the other person does.

Ryan: Jillian is a picker-putter. Jillian translation: Whatever objects are in my near vicinity I tend to pick up and then leave somewhere else inappropriate. For example, I have found my cell phone in the freezer

Jillian: Ryan is a mama monkey, cleaning and preening me. He'll comb my hair, scratch my scalp, pick out my eye crusties. He takes care of me!

8) What inspired your decor or theme?

We love vintage, old New York. The Prince George Ballroom has this beautiful turn of the century gilded ceiling, and that has been a huge source of inspiration for us

9) What is one thing you wish you would have known earlier in regards to planning?

Don't sweat the small stuff! Pick vendors you really trust and let them do their jobs.
